Shaun Michael Paul spent the first twenty years of his life in coastal North Carolina soaking up music and playing guitar in local bands. It wasn't until he moved to Chicago in 2002 that he started writing is own songs and developing his own style of combining potent with classic american music. Influenced heavily by the country & western stars of the 60's, as well as the early punk scene. Shaun writes simple yet honest songs as thoughtful as they are catchy. Since 2007 Shaun has worked with friend and bass player Miles Doornbos in the band Chaperone creating song-driven music steeped in americana and wit.
